Fierce Bite: It's just 1 game, it's far from over

So after just seeing the Sharks lose their first playoff game in what was an eerie, frustrating de ja vu of last year's epic fail, it's hard to try and do this post about why I am a Sharks fan. Is it because I'm a masochist? No. Well at times I am, but that's another thing. I became a Sharks fan in late 2007/early 2008 when I began to watch the games. Before that, my hockey appreciation extended to owning the Mighty Ducks films and at one time catching a Stanley Cup final game. But after I started watching the Sharks, I became hooked. As the 2008 playoffs were about to get underway, I was pumped. I was breathless as the Sharks were able to rally right down to the final game in the round against Calgary with JR's heroics; and even though they were in a hole that didn't end in their favor, their persistence as they forced a must-win game against Dallas into 4 overtimes was heart-stopping. Fast-forward to 2009. Just...no words. No need to go in that. It's a new postseason now. And yes, we just lost again tonight, but I am not giving up hope. This team will regroup and will rebound, and next game, will come back to play a full game of hockey. I don't care if this comes back to jinx me. OK, I am definitely a masochist.
